Habits - progress, finally

28 July '11

Re-recorded the bass (simpler, less fuzzy), Ryan put down some great vocals (less rockstar, quieter, creepier, more melancholy). I put down some very low key guitars (phased). Can't wait to hear how this comes out. Should sound closer to "A Forest" than generic rock, which will be interesting.

Seems to have been a good idea to get vocals down after bass & before guitars - at least we broke out of the what-to-do-with-the-guitars impasse.

Disintegrating...

Love the sparseness. Its too easy to clutter songs...

Seconds...

A bit of nostalgia. Sounds more like Joy Division than I ever realised.

Late May: All Night, Dont Know My Name

Came back from Dublin (late May) to find both songs almost finished. Waiting for final mix of All Night from Bevan before signing it off & minor changes to DKMN - redoing the wah guitar fills without the wah, its just not working. Very happy with the results.

New song 'Demons' sounding very good, if a little sing-songy. We'll be working on this next, its got the potential to be our best song to date.

Dublin May 2011

Phil Lynott statue, bass guitar. Crazy about the man, rightly so.
